Holstein Canada unveiled January 15 the names of the 19 master-breeders for 2021. Quebec had the most wins throughout the country with 10 farms that received the prestidigious title.

Excerpts from the article in La Terre de chez nous of 17 January 2022:

Les fermes Belfast Holstein (Chaudière-Appalaches), Bergeroy Holstein (Centre-du-Québec), Cloutier et Frères (Laurentides), Floroma (Portneuf), Germec (Mauricie), Mercury (Montérégie), Pierriche (Chaudière-Appalaches), Plainelac (Chaudière-Appalaches), Jaton & Gremion (Estrie) et Dave Tourigny (Centre-du-Québec) were rewarded for their breeding efforts.

Holstein Canada Master Breeders are known for raising herds of cows with high milk production and outstanding conformation, with great reproductive skills, health and longevity. Since 1929, Holstein Canada has issued over 1,000 plaques to members across the country.

La Ferme Bergeroy Holstein, de Saint-Samuel in the Centre-du-Québec, was awarded for a second time. Its first titled was obtained in 2007. “This is the highest recognition a Holstein breeder can get. It’s a great source of pride to be recognized twice,” says co-owner René Bergeron, who attributes his farm’s success to the conformation and longevity of his animals, as well as the importance he places on their comfort.

We would like to offer our most sincere congratulations to all master breeders and especially to our 3 clients: Ferme Bergeroy Holstein, Ferme Jaton-Gremion and Ferme Pierriche for this coveted title!

It was with great excitement and pride that on December 1st in Drummondville, we gathered the entire CLC team to officially unveil our new corporate image.

Several months ago, we began this process with the aim of repositioning our visual identity to reflect the evolution of our company.

Throughout the day, we took the opportunity to consolidate with the team our updated notions of Mission – Vision and Values of the company, to unveil our permanent teleworking policy and to announce the new opening hours that the 2 offices will adopt as of 1 January 2022.

The day ended with a very nice conference/training given by Mr Sylvain Guimond, on the subjects of stress management and performance.

Everything was done in full compliance with the sanitary measures in force.

It is essential for our company to adapt, evolve and reinvent itself in order to create a rewarding work environment for our team while maintaining the excellence of the service offered to our clients.

Movement in the business leadership

The founders, Yves Choinière and Hélène Desrochers, announced that it is time for them to make way for the next generation. They are stepping down from the shareholding and management of CLC while remaining active in the company for the next few years. Mr. Choinière continues to act as engineer/project manager and team mentor, while Ms. Desrochers remains in charge of billing. It is very important for them to ensure the transfer of knowledge to the next generation to ensure the continuity of the business.

Christian Lemay and Nathalie Filion are happy to welcome Francis Morasse and Philippe Glaude as partners and members of the company’s management. They have both been members of the CLC team for over 10 years as engineers/project managers.

The entire CLC team would like to take this opportunity to thank Yves and Hélène for their great contribution to the success of the company and wish Philippe and Francis the best of luck in their new management roles.

Awards: Industrial Building and Structural Concept
Ferme biologique Zwygart (Centre-du-Québec)
Well resolved, intelligent, this superb industrial building stands out for its architectural details
particularly elegant and neat. He demonstrates a great mastery of execution which proves that
it is possible to create extraordinary effects even with a simple base. The use
of moulded joints is an elegant and distinctive detail. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing,
the integration of skylights helps to enhance the beauty and warmth of the
wooden structure. An exemplary achievement that testifies to the conviction of the designers and
owners.

Congratulations to the project team: David Mizrahi, engineer; Ambiance Bois; Consultants Lemay & Choinière inc. and SENC Zwygart.
