CONSULTANTS LEMAY & CHOINIÈRE IS CURRENTLY SEEKING COMPETENT AND DYNAMIC PERSONNEL TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSITION.
Our structural Engineer will work in close collaboration with the Engineer/Project leader colleagues, clients and draft team. Versatile, He will participate in calculations and conception of many stimulating building projects: Agricultural, institutional, commercial and residential.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Calculate bearing capacities and foundation
- Calculate overloads, snow loads, wind loads, seismic loads and others
- Perform concrete, steal and wood structure calculations
- Develop calculation methods for different elements
- Prepare and draw details for drawings and specifications
- Act as project leader on different projects
- Take charge of the evaluation and expertise on existing structures
- Write technical report
Profile required:
- BAC in Civil engineering, Construction engineering or any other building engineering certificate
- Have a good knowledge of building structures
- Proficiency in Office and Outlook softwares
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in SAFI
- Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of the agricultural sector is an asset

- Opportunity to participate in concrete pouring surveillance and sampling

Profile required:
- Diploma of professional studies (DEP) in building drawings, Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Architectural technologies or other relevant domains

From the first contact with the client to the post-construction follow-up, he will work closely with our multidisciplinary team and the various collaborators and suppliers to complete the projects.
Daily responsibilities:
- Plan meetings for various projects
- Prepare building permits requests
- Design buildings and structural calculations
- Calculate budget
- Coordinate the execution of drawings and specifications with the draft team
- Do follow-up on the construction site
- Offer top quality and personalized service to clients
Profile required:
- BAC in Agri-Environmental, construction, civil engineering or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in both oral and written French
- Proficiency in Office and Outlook software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- ASP construction certification
- Valid driver’s license
